Swatches & Review - The complete Il Était Un Vernis Végétal collection

Hi loves! Today I have a full review on the new Il Était Un Vernis collection called Végétal. Just like the previous set (Licensed to Polish - reviewed here) it consists of 5 shades, this time inspired by flowers and their call to come outside when Spring arrives. My dear friend Emily is reviewing these as well, I'd be very happy if you paid her a visit as well! But please, first check my swatches ;-).

All swatches are 2 coats, no topcoat over basecoat (A England The Knight).

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Dahlia

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Hydrangea

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Ixia

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Luneria

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Paeonia

Does that intrigue you? Make sure to keep on reading!

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Dahlia

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Dahlia

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Dahlia is a gorgeous blurple shade with a scattered holographic finish. The color is quite intense and dark for a Spring collection, but the sparkly finish makes a lot of sense this time of year!

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Hydrangea

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Hydrangea

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Hydrangea is a greytoned periwinkle blue filled with pink and blue shimmer along with a scattered holographic finish. Depending on the angle you'll either spot the blue shimmer or the pink shimmer more.

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Ixia

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Ixia

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Ixia is a very intense sky blue shade with bright blue shimmer (or are they little flakes?) and a scattered holographic effect. I didn't have any issues with this one staining but I didn't wear it as a full mani, so you might want to double up on basecoat since it's so intense.

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Luneria

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Luneria

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Lunaria is a golden hue, very smooth and depending on the amount of light almost appearing as a nude shade. Again, gorgeous scattered holographic finish!

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Paeonia

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Paeonia

Il Était Un Vernis Végétal Paeonia is an orange toned coral shade. It pulls very orange on me! It has a lovely pink and golden shimmer along with the same scattered holographic finish.

Overall conclusion
I already expected something great from Il Était Un Vernis regarding formula, based on my previous experience. They didn't let me down! All shades were smooth 2 coaters, no issues with dragging, pooling or patchy finish. Just a smooth application on each coat! My favorites are Luneria and Dahlia, but all shades have something beautiful and unique about them so I'm very happy to have all of them!

What do you think of this set? Any favorites? Tell me in the comments!
Il Était Un Vernis can be bought in their own webshop, you can also check the listed stockists for other e-tailers. Each shade costs €12,90. All shades are 5-free and vegan.
