Born Pretty Store floral double stamping over Mischo Beauty XO

Hi loves! As you may know by now, I'm kinda obsessed with double stamping floral images.. I've used MoYou London Pro XL 06 a lot for this already, but the other day I received 4 new plates from Born Pretty Store and there are a lot of fun images for me to play with!

To create this look, I started with a base of Mischo Beauty XO. I've shown swatches of this shade last Wednesday and I like it quite a lot! It's that perfect shade of peach that doesn't look dirty on me, it's bright enough to make me happy but subtle enough so I can wear it easily to work as well. Even better: the formula is great and only needs 2 easy coats ^^.

Before stamping I always apply my El Corazon Cuticle Defender. This product just makes your life so much easier if you like messy nailart! It also a great way to pass the time the basecolor needs to dry a bit :-).

As I said I received a few fun plates from Born Pretty Store and the one I used for this mani is the rectangular plate with number L008. On the plate are various "doodle" images and nature prints, both my kind of images! The plate is of good quality. It comes in a cardboard sleeve which fits snug, and the plate is attached to a larger plastic backing. In size the plate itself is a match to the MoYou London plates, but the plastic backing is slightly larger. Each individual stamping image measures 14 mm by 20 mm (except for the small extra images on the bottom of the plate). The image is well etched though there seems to be a bit of a.. halo? around it. Not sure how to describe it but there's this little extra "edge" around the lines, it doesn't affect the stamping though.

For the stamping I started with a round of Konad white, then flipped the image 180° and went back with Cirque Colors Memento Mori. Peel away your Cuticle Defender after stamping and you'll be left with a tiny bit of clean-up. Finish with topcoat and tadaa, your tropical look is done :-)!

  16. Aww, thanks Jessica, but really, they are so easy! Just take a lighter colored polish that'll still show the white and use an image that isn't too overpowering :).
