Swatches & Review - Colors by Llarowe Colorado on My Mind Collection

Hi guys! This week I've got an entire collection to show you: the Colorado on My Mind Collection from Colors by Llarowe! This collection consists of 6 gorgeous jellies and one crelly in complementing blue, purple and pink tones.

This post has a ton of pictures so...

Colors by Llarowe Pike's pink is a bright and bubbly pink jelly. Its so bright its almost neon and it looks so juicy and squishy! This was 4 coats with topcoat, but 3 coats would have been fine too if you don't mind a bit more vnl.

Colors by Llarowe Garden of the gods is a fuchsia jelly polish that leans very pink. This one also  seems almost neon and is very squishy looking. This is 3 coats with topcoat.

Colors by Llarowe Wildflower fields is a blurple jelly. Its very bright and can be both blue or purple depending on the lighting. It was very hard to capture on camera so I had to color correct a bit. 3 coats with topcoat.

Colors by Llarowe Where the columbines grow is a vampy wine colored jelly. I have a hard time deceiding if this one or Pike's pink is my favourite. It applies slightly more streaky than the others but the result is still stunning and liquid looking. 3 coats with topcoat.

Colors by Llarowe Broncos Baby! Is a very deep navy jelly. Even though its very dark is still clearly a blue polish because the edges are always less opaque on the nail.

Colors by Llarowe Rocky mountain high is a bright blue, almost teal shade. It was my least favourite of the collection. It applied patchy and it almost seamed like the pigment was unevenly spread in the polish even after shaking vigorously. This 4 coats with topcoat.

Colors by Llarowe Mile high manicure the only crelly polish in the collection and is a bright blue shade. It applied heavenly! It was perfect and smooth and glossy looking in 2 coats. I did apply topcoat though, I always do.

My thoughts
I don't have many jellies in my collection because most of the time I prefer my polishes to be opaque. But I always love the squishy look they have. Well, this collection has both! Most of these jellies are wonderfully opaque in 3 coats and they all look so liquid and smooth on the nail! There is still a liiiitle bit of vnl with some, but that is to be expected with jellies and I wasn't bothered by it at all. Also the one crelly in this group is lovely and even more opaque than the rest. Application on most of them (except Rocky mountain high) was a dream. I wore all of these with a base of OPI Ridgefiller and a layer of Poshé topcoat, because I love the extra shine!

What do you guys think? Do you like jelly polishes? And what are your favourites of this collection?

  9. These are all so pretty but I just can't deal with jellies unless I'm doing a jelly sandwich because of how many coats you need, which is a shame

  10. Gorgeous! That is one super shiny topcoat you have there! I adore jelly polishes so much. I'll take them over a straight creme any day. All that squishy goodness rocks!

  11. Beautiful swatches! I think Garden of the Gods is my favorite of these. I love jellies, especially to use as bases for glitters and for jelly sandwiches.
