Swatches & Review - Pahlish Billy Bones & Tropical Island Treasure

Hi loves! Today is the first time I am sharing some Pahlish shades with you. This wasn't actually my first encounter with this brand but I never got around to sharing the others I bought. And these shades might have been retired as well, but they are too pretty not to be shared!

Let's take a look at Billy Bones and Tropical Island Treasure!

Pahlish Billy Bones
Pahlish Billy Bones
Pahlish Billy Bones is a gorgeous cream shade filled with multicolored multichrome flakies. The minute I saw the swatches done by Jenny from Lavish Layerings, I knew I had to have this! She's such a little enabler lol.

Formula was great on this shade, I barely needed 2 coats for opacity and they applied like butter. That's how I like it! Topped with topcoat.

Pahlish Tropical Island Treasure is a minty green filled with golden flakies. Another must have! Ida from Ida Nails It swatched it so beautifully.. another enabler!

The formula was a tad more sheer and thin, and while it seemed opaque at 2 coats, I didn't want to risk any bald patches so I added a third. Application was easy though so I didn't mind at all. I actually wore this for 3 days straight!

Overall conclusion
While both of these shades from the Buccaneers and Buried Gold are retired, you might understand why I had to share these - they are so lovely! Formula was good on both though I would've liked Tropical Island Treasure a tad more creamy (also, I wanted to shorten the name.. but I quickly threw out that idea ^^). Billy Bones is another one of those work appropriate shades that will not bore you.

Did you get anything from this collection? And what do you think of Pahlish in general? Tell me in the comments!

  12. Hmm..I really like the details like the flakies/particles in the polish but that beige base is not really my cup of tea. They look gorgeous on you but would probably make my hands look dead. On the other hand I should finally try this brand!

  21. It's a shame the collections are discontinued so quickly, though it does make room for new shades, which is also really fun.
