Hi loves! Sorry for being so absent lately. First I had a bit of the blogger flu - life takes over sometimes and it starts to feel like a chore instead of being fun. Then we had a heat wave going on and well, no polish behaves properly when the room you paint in is about 30° Celcius. I'm not going anywhere though, and I am making up with pretty nail art today!
Doesn't that look promising?
My base is the beautiful Pahlish La Dernière Reine. I bought this last year, I actually got the whole Royal Reverie collection it belongs to, and it's the collection that opened my eyes for Pahlish. Exciting news: I'll be able to show you all releases from this month soon as there is a swatch package coming my way ^^! Even though the Royal Reverie collection isn't available anymore, you should still check out the gorgeous swatches Ida did of these. Her daylight photography is on fleek (lol, did I use that term correctly? I just think it looks funny!).
I needed 2 coats of this creamy beauty, though it seems I might try thinner coats next time and go with 3 instead - the copper flakies look a bit submerged in the base this way. Might be the stamping that distracts as well. It does apply nicely, and dries down smooth. After it dried I used my Dance Legend Pure Manicure cuticle defender and brushed it around my nails. This is such a life saver! I used to use the one from El Corazon but it dried down to one big clump :-/. On Instagram the brand suggested I dilute it with pure ammonia?! Has anyone tried that?
The stamping was done using Born Pretty Store BP-L015. It's the top left image, and I love the sketchy style. It reminded me of those beautiful flowers Meghan from Will Paint Nails For Food is capable of drawing! The image transferred really well like I have come to expect from Born Pretty Store, and I think it was a perfect pairing with the basecolor.
How do you feel about this look? Do you like it as much as I do? Tell me in the comments!

I have this polish and this plate! Such a pretty combo!
ReplyDeleteStunning. Need it!
ReplyDeleteAs I already mentioned, I really like the combination of colors and pattern - very classy! I might be wrong, but as far as I know once latex has dried it cannot be re-liquified. Even if it could be, I don't think I want to go through the hassle of playing around with pure ammonia and simply get a new bottle ;)
ReplyDeleteUghhh I knew I'd regret passing on La Dernière Reine! I'm looking forward to seeing more Pahlish swatches though :D
ReplyDeleteReally adore this stamping!! That Pahlish base is just utter perfection <3 And don't beat yourself up over the blogger flu, happens to all of us, and with these temperatures I haven't been swatching either. I think this week it's cooling down a bit so that should be better :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks gorgeous! I really like the sketchiness of the flower stamp :)
ReplyDeleteOh, sweetie - I know all about the blogger flu, so I understand the absence and I think we all do, don't worry. Specially because this stamping looks beautiful!! Pahlish La Dernière Reine is the perfect base!
ReplyDeleteThis is so gorgeous! I am in love with that stamp.
ReplyDeleteWow, these are absolutely stunning! Your floral manicures are always so pretty. You do such a great job at picking the perfect base polish!
ReplyDeleteThat stamping is to die for, oh my gosh you picked an amazing base colour! Good to see you back x
ReplyDeleteSimply a gorgeous nude! I really like the shimmer in it. The stamping is perfect!
ReplyDeleteBlogger flu is no good! But it's also good to take a break once in a while. Thanks for the share, La Derniere looks amazing on you!
ReplyDeleteThis is great!
ReplyDeleteQuick question: what did you use to make the really big dots? I've tried everything, from pens to ends of brushes to those small erasers that are stuck at the end of a pencil... but I still can't get them nice and round :(
Absolutely gorgeous mani!
ReplyDeleteI understand blogger flu, it happens to me every once in a while! And OMG the heatwave... I didn't touch any polish on the worst days! Just trying to stay alive ;)
I love it! Nude and black is a stunning combination! Glad you got a break and the blogger flu is healing, it sucks when that happens, but we get it <3
ReplyDeleteI totally understand blogger flu...I've been feeling it coming on a lot lately. :/ But onto this look...STUNNING! Totally want that plate because I love this stamp and La Derniere Reine is one of my all-time favorites! All of her nudey polishes just slay me...I love them so! This is closely tied with Fleur de Sel and I even tried a newer one today L'or Blanc that is more of a putty nude that totally got to me.
ReplyDeleteLove your skittle! I perfectly know what you mean about the heat making polish dense and hard to paint. I am hating that! And I never have time to put the bottles in the fridge for some minutes before starting!
ReplyDeleteI love that pattern you used and it definitely reminded me of Meghan as well! Such a great nail art!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pattern and I love the subtle glitter!
ReplyDeleteOh I'm definitely head over heels in love with this look. Nude bases always look so good on you!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable skittle! The purple is such a good shade for this combo.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love these colors together so much.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It came out so well :).
ReplyDeleteYou do!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sabine! Yeah, I was surprised about that as well.. I mean, it's already in the gum like dried out fase. And nope, no desire to play with pure ammonia either!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I absolutely adore the pale base of this shade.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Em! Between this and the one you got they are the perfect nudes with a kick.
ReplyDeleteI do too!
ReplyDelete<3 thanks Mina! It seems to have past already so yay, back to blogging it is :).
ReplyDeleteI am too!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much <3 I just can't get enough of floral stamps, lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Sharon! I reeeally need to try that image again in a different color combo - how amazing would some copper stamping over a squishy white be?
ReplyDeleteThanks Bella, I love it as well!
ReplyDeleteYeah I decided not to make a big deal of it for myself, it doesn't help getting back to blogging when it's a must you know. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Lothwen, glad you like it! Wasn't it the worst?! I really didn't like the extreme heat.
ReplyDeleteRight? I love how bold it is :). And thank you <3 every once in a while you just need to take small step back huh?
ReplyDeleteAww, it sucks when you feel that way huh? Hopefully you'll get out of it as well <3.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenny! I wish I had both Fleur de Sel and L'or Blanc as well. Nude/putty/beige polishes are my favorite and they work so well for nailart!
Yay, glad you noticed the same resemblance!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it the best?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
