Paint All The Nails Does Floral

Hi loves! Surprise, surprise, Manon and I switched our posts this week. That's because today the very first link-up is happening with some talented ladies that are part of the same Facebook group I'm in! Our first theme is Floral and so I have some pretty flowers to share with you today.

Hope you'll enjoy! Be sure to check out the Inlinkz widget at the end so you can enjoy all the fun posts my friends did!

I must admit, at first I wanted to take the easy route and do one of my double stamping designs - fits the theme, easy to do and always a lovely look. But who doesn't like a bit of a challenge? Now I am not made for precision work, so I googled "floral nailart" and let my eyes feast on the more rough looks. The one that drew my attention was this look done by Lucie from Lucy's Stash. The bold colors and the sparkly dotted centers looked so nice!

The design doesn't look that similar to my end result, I just used a few elements as inspiration! My base is OPI I Just Can't Cope-a-Cabana, because who doesn't love a cheery yellow shade? After it dried I used Catrice Inner Purple Of Trust which I thinned down using proper thinner, and painted my petals. I used a thin brush and black polish for the outlines and a medium dotting tool to create the black center. My final step was adding the gold dots with a dotting tool and OPI Love. Angel. Music. Baby.

Obviously I finished with a smooth layer of topcoat, and that was all! Not too complicated but for me quite an achievement ^^. What I especially like is how the purple tone looks against the yellow base, very happy and summery.

What is your favorite floral nailart style? Tell me in the comments!

  14. These came out lovely! I really like how the flowers are not all 100% accurate, it adds a certain something to the manicure and gives it your signature. Love it!
