Red Camouflage Nails

Hi guys! I've been doing a lot of quick and easy nail-art lately, so today I thought it was time for something a bit more elaborate. This manicure is still quite easy to do, just a bit more time consuming. I'm talking about camouflage nails!

Now, I've done a couple of these manicures in the past, but they were always the classic green/brown camo. Today I wanted something a bit different and went for red and white! As I mentioned above, this manicure is quite easy to do. I just put a few drops of polish on the back of a stamping plate and went in with a small dotting tool and drew random blobs on my nails. I stared with the white and worked my way up to black, because light colors are easier to paint over and you will get some overlapping in some places. The polishes I used were: OPI Alpine snow, Wet 'n Wild Black creme, Kiko 238 Martha red and Color club Wild orchid (this has a little bit of shimmer to it, but it wasn't visible in the end result).

It takes a little while, and you have to make sure you fill in your entire nail (you could also paint a basecolor first, but I didn't), but it's not hard. Apply a generous coat of topcoat and clean up any mistakes, and done!

I hope you were able to see enough of this manicure to like it (you know, because it blends in sooo well with the surroundings, haha) and see you next week!

  1. It's been a long time since I tried to do camo nails! And this color combo is quite something! I like that you haven't used any green or brown shades - like in the traditional camouflage pattern - but red and white that is rally eye catching instead! Great manicure!

  3. Oh how cool! I don't think I've seen camo done in this color scheme so it's especially awesome! I've always done the classic green camo colors in my camo manis but this has me thinking I'll need to change that!
