The Crumpet. It's not as challenging though as the 31 Days of Nail Art, since I'll only have to come up with a design every 2 weeks, but still.. there are some prompts I'm NOT looking forward to lol! Also, the design is made up of 2 parts: every other week the challenge is either theme based or color based. What is fun, is that the part I'm joining is about colors, but every participant is allocated a different style to go with that color. For example, I'm kicking off with the combination of teal and dots. Other participants might have something like teal and chevrons, teal and watermarble, teal and stamping - lots of options! You can check all of them at the end of this post!
Let's take a closer look!
Like I said, the challenge part I joined is about colors. And we started with one of my favorites, teal! The pattern code I was allocated lets me start with dots, and I grabbed a few different teal shades along with my dotting tools and went to work.
My base is the trustworthy Polish My Life Birthday Suit, which I applied in 2 coats and finished with some quick dry topcoat. The teal shades are: Envy Me, Frank (a franken I made using 2 H&M shades); Ciaté Superficial and China Glaze My Way or The Highway. I love the shimmer the franken adds, and the variety of darkness in shades is great too.
This look wasn't difficult to achieve at all, so if you have some dotting tools lying around, give it a try!
What do you think of my interpretation of this weeks theme? Are you excited to see the other themes? Tell me in the comments!
