40 Great Nail Art Ideas challenge ^^ - this time I am tackling a combination of the colors orange, purple & green combined with a geometric pattern. Well.. this didn't come easy, lol! The combination of colors reminded me of Halloween, though the geometric pattern didn't fit in. So, instead of going for something spooky, I went for a soft base combined with bold stamping.
Hope you enjoy!
To create this look, I once again started with a base of Polish My Life Birthday Suit. It's just such a lovely creamy base and only needs 2 coats for opacity! After I applied it, I used a nice thick layer of topcoat to protect the base. Then, using a small brush and my mandatory colors, I created a watercolor effect by painting on strips of the color, washing them away with acetone and repeating if needed.
The orange is a random one from Miss Sporty, and the green and purple are from Cirque Colors - you can check them out in this post!
After the colors dried down, I used my beloved MoYou London Suki 05 plate and a new stamping polish from Born Pretty Store. It works well, though it doesn't clean up very easy. On the other hand, black never really cleans up easy ;-). The opacity is great so that's a plus!
To make the design stand out even more, I finished with a matte topcoat from Cirque Colors, and my orange, purple & green geometric design is done ^^!
What do you think of this look? And what would YOU have attempted for this theme? Tell me in the comments!
