Swatches & Review // Cirque Colors Holiday 2015

Hi loves! I'm back today with another lovely holiday collection, this time it's the Cirque Colors Holiday 2015 set! It consists of 4 polishes and I have 3 to show you. Not included is Au (limited edition), the gold flake topper from Cirque Colors that is only released around the holidays. It's a medium sized, 23K gold flake topper which I definitely need to add to my stash some day. Might be a nice treat for my birthday ^^ (it's December 25th, just so you know ;-)).

Cirque Colors Madder

Cirque Colors Reflektor

Let's take a closer look!

Cirque Colors Halcyon
Cirque Colors Halcyon
Cirque Colors Halcyon (limited edition) is a highly reflective rose gold lacquer made with pure silver-coated micro-flakes. The sparkle on this beauty is insane. It was difficult to capture, my camera kept thinking there was a lot of light in the image because it's so reflective, so it kept making everything look too dark. The formula is great too, I only needed 2 coats for opacity. You can easily wrap your tips since the micro-flakes really are micro. Finished with topcoat.

Cirque Colors Madder

Cirque Colors Madder

Cirque Colors Madder is a deep crimson red holographic. So funny, a few years ago red holographic were unheard of, somehow it was always very troublesome to create a true red shade that had a holographic finish. This one is definitely a true red and while the holo effect isn't super strong, it's definitely visible. The formula was great as well, again 2 easy coats finished with topcoat.

Cirque Colors Reflektor

Cirque Colors Reflektor

Cirque Colors Reflektor (limited edition) is a highly reflective platinum silver lacquer made with pure silver-coated micro-flakes. There have been plenty of variations on the pure silver flakie polishes in the past (like F.U.N Lacquer Pay Day, Cirque Colors Mirror Mirror and many others) but I really love how tiny the silver flakes are - makes the finish so much more smooth looking! I used 3 coats for my swatch because this one lacks the tinted base that Halcyon has, and I was afraid my camera would make it appear patchy. In real life, 2 coats are more than enough and they go on smooth and easy. Finished with topcoat.

Overall conclusion
Especially Reflektor and Halcyon are gorgeous and unique to my stash, and I am thinking of putting Reflektor on my toes :-D! The formula on all 3 is amazing and if you are looking for a gift for someone who loves nail polish, I can definitely recommend these.

Have you ever tried a silver-coated flakie polish? And what do you think of these? Tell me in the comments!
The Holiday 2015 collection has released already and besides Madder, all shades are limited edition so grab yours while they are available. If you are looking for a place to shop closer to home, please check all Cirque Colors' stockists right here.
