Nail art // 40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Glitter topper or flakie

Hi loves! That's right, another edition of the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas challenge, are you having fun with these? I sure am, it's nice to have a constant stream of nail art on the blog and it's a great way to get me to try new techniques and combinations. So, this weeks prompt is glitter topper or flakie and my assigned prompt is houndstooth/tweed/plaid. Since I love a good houndstooth pattern, that's what I went with!

Let's take a closer look!

I quickly decided to use a flakie polish for this look, since I have been meaning to try the sponged on look of a multichrome flakie. The polish of choice is Lacquester Greeench, and I sponged around 3 layers on top of Sinful Colors Blue Crushin'. Sponging on the flakies creates this beautiful full coverage effect and while the flakies look mostly green in my pictures, at the right angle they flash a beautiful shade of blue as well.

After sponging on the flakies I let it dry for a bit and then stamped using Bundle Monster BM322 and their semi squishy silicon mega stamper. It works so nicely and the head is very large, which makes it easier for me to position the stamp properly.

Finishing with a layer of topcoat to create a smooth and glossy look, and my flakie + houndstooth look was done!

What would you have created for this weeks prompt? And what do you think of my particular look? Tell me in the comments!
