Let's take a closer look at today's swatches!
The Dance Legend Mystery collection consists of 12 polishes, 6 multichromes and 6 multichrome flakie polishes. I chose 2 flakie shades and was surprised with their opacity - I am not wearing any undies in my swatches!
Dance Legend Mystery Essence consists of different colors, I spy blue, green, orange, pink and purple, mixed with gunmetal flakies, creating a cool toned polish overall. This was a little bit more sparse than the next shade. and I used 4 coats to create an opaque effect. Keep in mind that camera close-ups highlight every sparse bit so in real life you can probably be done with 3 coats and not see any bare nail peeking through. They layers went on thin and smooth so I didn't end up with bulky nails, either. Finished with topcoat.
Dance Legend Mystery Invocation consists of mainly green flakies, but there are blue, gold and orange bits in there as well. This one was more opaque and I used 3 coats for opacity, but again you can probably do with one less in real life. It behaved the same way as Essence, easy to manipulate and thin in application, so it didn't build up too much.
While there are plenty of these multichrome flakie polishes out there already, this collection adds something because of their easy coverage. Other flakies I've tried so far needed some matching undies to create an illusion of full coverage or to be sponged on, but with these you can easily build them up without any hassle. I like the multicolored look of Essence, but the green tones in Invocation remind me of mermaids which is a huge plus in my book ;-).
What do you think of these 2 shades? And what do you think of another multichrome flakie polish? Tell me in the comments!
Dance Legend is sold through their own webshop, and ships internationally. Dance Legend Mystery shades come in 6,5 ml. bottles and retail for $8.
