Swatches & Review // Pahlish There is a Song collection

Hi loves! It's that time of the month again, I am tempting you with some gorgeous Pahlish releases :-D! This time it's all about the Pahlish There is a Song collection which consists of 6 beautiful shades inspired by River Song, a Doctor Who character. I'm not a Doctor Who fan so I had no idea and the references go over my head, but these shades are still wonderful even without the connection to Doctor Who ;-).

Also, I'm teaming up again with my bestie Emily from Very Emily ♥. She takes her gorgeous swatches in daylight which always highlights different parts of the polish, so to see even more gorgeousness make sure to check out her review as well (just read mine first before you leave ;-)).

Pahlish Hello Sweetie is a lilac jelly with silver flakes and soft violet-blue shimmer. Those flakies! They are so large but so beautiful, and a pleasure to work with. No sticking up, poking out, fishing for them shenanigans. Even though it's classified as a jelly I didn't find it sheer at all. All I needed were 2 easy coats and topcoat for this beauty.

Pahlish Impossible Astronaut is a subtle tan greige with silver micro shimmer. Such a classy shade, very wearable and it would make a great base for nail art I think. There is a ever so slight holographic sparkle in it that won't really show up in real life. I used 2 coats and topcoat.

Pahlish Melody Malone is a greyed purple cream with pink shimmer. Another classy shade! There's a hint of taupe to this one and depending on your skintone the purple will be more or less visible. The shimmer is gorgeous and adds a lot of interest. Again, 2 coats and topcoat!

Pahlish Spoilers is a deep oxblood red jelly with iridescent white flakes. This is one of 3 jelly shades with amazing depth that's difficult to capture in a picture, you'll need to see it in real life to appreciate the true beauty! The first coat was a bit patchy but with 3 coats I had great coverage, lots of squish and gorgeous depth. Finished with topcoat.

Pahlish Stormcage is a blackened violet jelly with a mix of silver, blue, violet, and pink flakes. Those silver flakes are such a beautiful aspect of this shade, they catch a lot of light and are crazy sparkly. This polish was really sheer on the first layer but build up nicely in 3 coats. Finished with topcoat.

Pahlish Singing Towers is a espresso brown jelly with red and copper ultrachrome flakes and holographic microflakes. Such a unique shade! And again, the depth is just breathtaking. It applied very easily and evenly, though I did use 3 coats for proper opacity. Finished with topcoat.

Overall conclusion
I love the versatility of the shades this month and all those jellies with their gorgeous flakies and shimmers are just perfection. My favorites are Stormcage because there is SO much to discover in this shade and Hello Sweetie because it's cute as a button and very well behaving considering the size of the flakies.

Are you a Doctor Who fan? If so, do you feel the colors represent the references well? And if you aren't, do you still enjoy this collection? Tell me in the comments!
